NAWBO Foundation
The Richmond NAWBO Foundation conducts and supports the charitable and educational activities of the NAWBO Richmond chapter.
The Foundation operates as a section 509(a)(3) support organization by “soliciting contributions to provide funding for enhancement of the educational and charitable activities currently carried on by the chapter.”
Since its inception, the Richmond NAWBO Foundation, in partnership with corporate sponsors, has sponsored the Enterprising Women of Excellence Awards event. This event, at which various awards are presented to deserving women, raises funds for the Richmond chapter’s educational and charitable programs. Funds raised at the awards event have been used to provide scholarships to Leadership Metro Richmond, fund speakers for chapter programs, and support continuing education of the chapter board members.
Companies and individuals wishing to make contributions to the Foundation may do so by writing a check payable to The Richmond NAWBO Foundation and mailing it to NAWBO or with a credit card or through PayPal. Contributions to the Foundation are deductible as a charitable contribution to the full extent of the law.
