How do we run this powerhouse female organization?
WHAT WE DO
ADVOCACY
NAWBO was founded in 1975 to be the first advocacy organization for all women business owners. In the beginning, there were twelve women business owners who met informally in the D.C. area to share information about federal contracts, access to capital and other issues related to their businesses.
EVENTS
From monthly socials to co-working events, we make sure that we are connecting in a way that builds abiding relationships between our members. The perfect blend of networking, support, and fun!
INSTITUTE
The NAWBO Institute for Entrepreneurial Development is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational foundation that seeks to provide opportunities for capacity building and organizational development for emerging and established women entrepreneurs.
RESOURCES
The U.S. Small Business Administration continues to help small business owners and entrepreneurs pursue the American dream. The SBA is the only cabinet-level federal agency fully dedicated to small business and provides counseling, capital, and contracting expertise as the nation’s only go-to resource and voice for small businesses.
