New NAWBO National President

Diane TombThe NAWBO National Board of Directors has recently appointed Diane Tomb as the new President and CEO!

Diane is the founder of a strategic communications and public affairs company that she founded in 2003. According to the NAWBO press release, she has served in senior roles in the federal government, non-profit and private sectors.

In addition, she serves on the board of Foundation SCA, an international development organization focused on women and girls, has worked as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, and is on the advisory board of the Terwillinger Center for workforce housing at the Urban Land Institute.

It is safe to say that Diane is more than qualified to take over as the President of NAWBO! And, she’s already got plans for the future.

“I am confident we are now at the right place, at the right time to build on this reputation to create a greater impact and deliver more value to our stakeholders over time,” said Diane.

Kelli Meadows installed as NAWBO President for 2010-2011

On June 2, 2010, Kelli Meadows was officially installed as NAWBO President for the 2010-2011 program year. Kelli is a Partner and Founder of Meadows Urquhart Acree Cook & Walls, LLP, a firm of more than a dozen Certified Public Accountants. She is an active member of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce and is a committed NAWBO Member and has served the organization in many roles; including serving as Program Chair on the Board of Directors for the 2009-2010 program year. She is involved with many community activities such as the Alzheimer’s Association annual walk, Breast Cancer walk, VSCPA day of service, Greater Richmond YMCA Christmas program and the Colonial Trail elementary school PTA. She is also an active member and Sunday school teacher at Shady Grove United Methodist Church. We look forward to continuing NAWBO’s success under Kelli’s leadership during 2010-2011.
