NAWBO EXECUTIVE DIALOGUE is a program designed to facilitate the exchange of information and the sharing of ideas, experience and expertise among the members of The Richmond Chapter of The National Association of Women Business Owners. It is designed to give small and medium-sized business the benefit of an ad hoc board of directors, and to give all executives a unique opportunity to hear the kind of candid and supportive feedback rarely received from employees, associates, or customers. The principal features of the program are: u Each Dialogue group will be comprised of 8-12 NAWBO members in non-competing businesses. In addition, participants in each Dialogue group will not begin or maintain client/customer relationships with any member of their Dialogue group for the duration of the Dialogue meetings. u Dialogue groups will facilitated by a trained facilitator. Using time-tested methods to run dialogue groups, the facilitator will make sure that each dialogue session is focused and productive for its members. Scheduling of all meetings will take place during an initial orientation session. The 3-4 hour initial orientation will be held for each dialogue group to organize the remaining sessions and to begin building trust between members. The greater the trust in Dialogue groups, the more candid and creative the discussions will be. u Each Dialogue group will meet on a monthly basis. Each such meeting will be hosted, on a rotating basis, by a member of the Dialogue group. u The host shall, approximately 10-14 days prior to the scheduled meeting, send to the members of her group a notice of the meeting detailing the date, time and location of the meeting, as well as an outline of issue(s) affecting the host’s business on which she would like advice. | |
